Multicultural magic takes centre stage as students star in first ever BPP University international talent show

Talent and culture came together to celebrate BPP University’s incredible array of international students at a vibrant Vice Chancellor’s Multicultural Showcase.

BPP University’s Students’ Association put on a night to remember in London as musicians, dancers and actors took centre stage for a series of show-stopping performances in front of a sea of students hailing from Australia to Bangladesh and China to Pakistan.

The unique evening of entertainment was held at the UK’s Congress Centre with jaw-dropping displays from BPP University’s Drama Club and Bhangra Society, Wycombe Steel Orchestra, spoken word artist Spoken Third and six-time number one hit singer/songwriter – who has performed for the British Royal Family – Navin Kundra as the night’s headline act.

Shaun Dias, Director of BPP Alumni Network, helped to organise this month’s event – the first of its kind by the University – alongside Student Engagement Officer Azmat Suleman as hundreds of international students came together to enjoy the evening’s entertainment.

Mr Dias expressed the importance of celebrating the different cultures at BPP University.

He said: “As a former student of BPP University it makes me very proud to see how we have grown over the last couple of years.

“Now, in my capacity as Director of the Alumni Network, it is vitally important that we recognise, celebrate and support the cultural diversity of our student population. I want BPP University to be at the forefront of multi-cultural awareness in the Higher Education Sector.”

The Multicultural Showcase saw Pranav Bhanot as the Master of Ceremonies with BPP University’s Vice Chancellor Carl Lygo taking to the stage to thank the scores of attendees.

When speaking about BPP University’s international student population, Vice Chancellor Lygo said: “Our links with leading businesses and organisations allow us to provide our students with a highly-regarded professional education. Our tutors, most of whom have real-world practitioner experience, will not only ensure our students have the practical skills and academic knowledge needed for success, but that they also have the competitive edge to make them stand out.

“We are proud of our integrated, multicultural community and welcome students from all over the world to study at one of our centres in the UK’s most exciting cities. BPP University is a name students can trust to provide them with a career-focused education in a supportive learning environment.”

More than 4,500 international students attend BPP University’s UK study centres – making up 38 per cent of its student population – to study subjects including accountancy, law, business and health.

There are also students from around the globe studying with BPP University via distance learning – one of the UK’s leading Universities dedicated to business and the professions.

The University educates students from over half the total countries across the globe.

BPP University’s Law School base in Holborn, London, recently forged links with the Nigerian Law School to offer a ‘top up’ Masters course to students.
