BPP Professional Education is crowned Magistrates Association Employer of the Year

BPP Professional Education has won the Magistrates Association Employer of the Year award.

The award recognised BPP’s positive approach it takes towards its employees carrying out public duty.

Laurence Seeff, who has worked for BPP as a finance lecturer since 2006, volunteers as a magistrate in court and submitted the application for the award. He said: “I feel proud that BPP has been recognised. It’s the first time BPP has won an award of this kind.

“I think this award shows that BPP takes Corporate Social Responsibility seriously and puts it into practice. It demonstrates that BPP wants to make a contribution to society and sets a good example to other employers.

“BPP recognises that its staff do voluntary work to aid the business and, in my volunteer role as a magistrate, I have been able to carry out my duties without pressure.

“Credit must also go to my department and colleagues who have never demonstrated any ill will about me taking time away to carry out my magistrates’ duties.”

The Magistrates Association (MA) Awards celebrate excellence and achievement amongst its branches and broader membership.

Carl Lygo, BPP Professional Education Group CEO, said: “We are immensely proud to be able to support the work of the Magistracy and get our employees involved in discharging their civic duty. We are honoured to be the recipients of this award.”

The event was hosted by MA National Chairman, Malcolm Richardson, at a special ceremony held at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in Westminster.
