Andrew Chadwick
Andrew is a solicitor and currently is Deputy Dean and CEO of the Law School at BPP. Andrew has almost twenty years’ experience in the legal education business and as such has built up a range of contacts with legal recruiters, former students, law firms and universities. Prior to working in legal education Andrew was employed as a solicitor in a range of practice areas – most notably litigation. Andrew says that the world of law is ever-changing and now is one of the most exciting times to work in legal education. more -

Carl Lygo
Carl is CEO of BPP Holdings and Principal of BPP University College of Professional Studies. Carl is a qualified barrister, having practised in London and Yorkshire. He holds a first class undergraduate degree in law as well as a higher research degree and further qualifications in business subjects. He has been appointed by the Secretary of State for Education (as he was then titled) as the special education member of the GCC. He has also been appointed by the Lord Chief Justice as a member of the Judicial Studies Board advisory committee. Carl has been nominated as one of the UK's "Hot 100 lawyers" by The Lawyer magazine. more -

Jessica Austen
Jessica is joint director of BPP's Pro Bono Centre, where she concentrates on encouraging law students to volunteer their time on one of their 20+ projects, giving something back to the local community while gaining valuable legal and other transferable skills. She started at BPP in 2010 as supervising solicitor for their housing advice clinic and became joint director in March 2011. Prior to joining BPP Jessica was in practice in a regional firm, Cripps Harries Hall LLP, for 14 years, doing commercial and property litigation. more -
Mark Hewitson
Before joining BPP in January 2007 Mark worked as a Financial Analyst for Genesis Housing Group. He holds a masters in Economics from the University Of Cambridge & is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA). more -
Nicholas Glossop
Nicholas Glossop is the Head of Learning Support and Inclusion at BPP. Having joined BPP in March 2012, his role is to promote, champion, monitor and develop the Equality and Diversity at BPP including the provision of Learning Support for students with disabilities and learning difficulties. Nicholas is a qualified teacher with 12 years’ experience, working with students from diverse backgrounds. The first classes he taught were asylum seekers from Iraq and he says he was immediately struck by the mutual transfer of knowledge and experience which was a rich and rewarding experience. Nicholas has a background in Philosophy and studied at Sheffield University, this included studying consciousness at post graduate level! Nicholas previously held positions managing and developing Learning Support provision and has worked on the merger of two College Learning Support services, which was recently commended by OFSTED. Nicholas also has commercial experience from setting up a training provider in the North East, as Research and Funding Manager; the position involved obtaining several government contracts and delivering skills in the workplace across the UK. more -
Scott Boath
Scott graduated with honours in Accountancy from the University of Dundee. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in Glasgow, qualified as a CA, and worked on a wide variety of projects in the audit and corporate finance departments. Subsequently he moved to Ernst & Young in the Middle East, before joining BPP in 1998. He specialises in teaching towards a variety of CISI qualifications. more -

Thomas Bennett
Tom Bennett is a lecturer at BPP Law School, teaching on the LLB and GDL programmes. He teaches Tort Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Media Law and the English Legal System & Reasoning (ELSR). He is also the co-convenor of the Law School’s Fresh Perspectives in Law lecture series with Chris Monaghan. He is the module leader for Media Law and ELSR. In his research and scholarship, Tom specialises generally in media-related law and particularly in privacy and defamation. He has published several pieces on privacy and media law generally, in domestic and international journals. Tom is also currently reading for a PhD at Durham University, focusing on domestic and international developments in common law privacy torts. more
