Stand out from the competition – apply to become a Student Digital Champion

BPP Learning Centres around the country are recruiting Student Digital Champions with a closing date of Friday 20th October.

In this paid role (£150 per semester) you will help to organise training and support that will help your fellow students improve their digital knowledge.

Some of our champions are moving on as they graduate, others are staying to build on the successes of last year. Said Ait Ourab, continuing champion at Shepherd’s Bush, wrote:

“It took me a long time to make up my mind and apply for the Student Digital Champion position. The motivations that pushed me to apply have proven true as time went on.

The opportunity is important to me as it allows me to do something else in the University than studying. It also allows me to be among the first to learn about opportunities to develop new skills, and to transmit it to students.

As a Student Digital Champion, I had to engage with students and talk to them, and this helped me gain self-confidence and the right manner to talk to people.

I believe that this opportunity will bring its added value to my CV and can make the difference when I look for a job, and the skills built from it will be useful for my career.”

You don’t have to be an IT expert, just be willing to share your enthusiasm for learning through new technology.

All career paths expect you to be able to network and present on all sorts of topics. As a Student Digital Champion you will promote events and opportunities, and you will deliver training to other students. You will receive a huge amount of support from staff at BPP making this a great way to build vital experience in a supportive environment.

In 2018 we will run a Digital Skills Conference and our Student Digital Champions will be pivotal in this project. Again with supportive colleagues you will have substantial material for your CV – how many graduates will apply for jobs with a proven track record in delivering training and organising events like you will.

To apply simply send your CV and a covering letter to library@bpp.com. Full details of how the role can be found via Career Hub.
