John Mantikas, Head of Postgraduate Programmes, introduces the new International MBA
BPP University’s new International MBA is a pioneering programme seeking to educate students in the essential areas of business which will help develop their careers, by providing as wide a range of 21st-century workplace skills as possible. The programme builds on competencies and character qualities in addition to the development of particular skills. The programme is available to individuals with a minimum of 2 years’ experience that may have been gained during undergraduate studies.
This International MBA is aimed at those who are looking to develop their careers in business and need an understanding of the major functions of a contemporary business. By providing a broad knowledge combining solid educational foundations together with a thematic approach into emerging business issues, it equips students for their chosen careers. This could be from within large multinationals or working within an entrepreneurial setting in the new networked international marketplace. The programme has been designed in conjunction with the industry. Consequently it is informed from current and emerging trends, managerial imperatives and market dynamics.
Competitive business simulations will see teams of students work in a competitive setting where they can apply their skills and capabilities in key areas such as strategy development, finance, marketing and decision making using a wide set of variables. Importantly, business simulations can take place in students own time allowing them to forge strong relationships and networks throughout the programme, learning from peers and gaining international business contacts.
