BPP University launches new International MBA master’s degree
BPP University has launched a new International MBA which will begin in September 2015.
The International MBA is designed for individuals looking to expand their career options in business and develop skills to make them stand out in a competitive market. The programme is designed to bring to the fore, key international issues and demonstrate their application in practice.
It builds on students’ existing knowledge and enhances their skills to enable them to develop as a competent and versatile business leader.
The programme is available to those who have at least a Lower Second Class Honours degree, or overseas equivalent, and a minimum of two years’ work experience which they could have gained whilst studying. The programme will be delivered at BPP University Business School in the heart of the City of London’s financial district.
Dr. John Mantikas, Head of Postgraduate Programmes at BPP University Business School, said: “Today’s new breed of executives and business professionals operate in an ever ambiguous and complex environment where ability to adapt in accelerated change is a competitive advantage.
“We have designed an MBA with a contemporary curriculum based on international students’ needs and industry trends. We aim to provide the education to allow professionals to approach and resolve challenges as presented in the ever-changing business environment.
“Our faculty bring with them a wealth of business experience from diverse industries and global markets. Many come with backgrounds gained from within large multinational, Fortune 500 organisations, others from entrepreneurial pursuits and not-for profit sectors”.
“I am confident that the BPP University experience, where professionals teach professionals, will build students’ business capabilities and will help to shape their working lives.”
BPP University’s International MBA is an immersive course for students where they will experience a curriculum which brings together global trends, financial challenges, forces of market disruptors and real-time business dynamics. The programme aims to offer students an all-round expert approach to business learning and leadership within an international context.
The course begins with a week-long ‘Boot Camp’ to introduce the programme, the participants and to provide with a parity of knowledge and understanding using live business simulation.
The course is taught in two module blocks (instead of the traditional four) using teaching techniques such as focus through immersion, experiential learning and application (such as live business simulations), innovative and practical assessments, and contextual capability building, all with a focus on international business.
