Notice something different? We’ve launched a new brand and refreshed our website

It gives us great ‘pride’ to introduce our new logo and a refreshed website. So what’s with the new look?

Puns aside, there’s a strong rationale behind our decision to re-brand.

At a time when students and businesses are increasingly looking for greater value from education, BPP has something unique to offer. We combine a long heritage as a professional training provider with an expanding university degree portfolio. This powerful combination – along with our relentless focus on quality and employability – sets us apart in the post-secondary education sector.

As our offering continues to expand, we felt it was a good time to move towards a logo that better reflects the diversity of our student and customer base, which can range from UK school leavers to senior business professionals. We believe our new logo achieves this, combining as it does the gravitas of a heraldic shield with the modernity of a relative newcomer in the higher education sector.

You can get a preview of all our new logos below. As with all re-brands, the lion has polarised opinion among our students (catch up with the discussion on our Law School Facebook page).

We’d love to hear what you think of our new look, so why not comment on this blog article or tweet us @BPP with your opinion?

Improved website

You may also have noticed our new look website and we wanted to give some background to why we decided to update it.

As a training provider to major blue chip companies and highly motivated professionals, our users have exacting standards and we wanted our online presence to serve their needs in the most effective way possible. In the past, we’ve promoted our offering through more than 20 different websites which – according to our research – often made our customers’ online experience disjointed and confusing.

So this week we’ve moved to a single refreshed website under bpp.com, which we hope will provide you with:

  • an enjoyable and relevant online experience
  • a simpler, easier-to-use booking process
  • deeper information about our study materials and courses
  • rich video and social content.

We hope you enjoy having a look round the site and reading more about our history, our tutors and our courses.

I think it’s totally unexpected using a lion.. not sure I understand it (what does a lion teach??) but I think it’s nice and modern. The new website is ok but very slow.

I miss the old logo. It looked more professional. However, the new one isn’t bad.. Best wishes.

I believe the website is user-friendly and well-organised, unlike the previous one. It is fresh and modern, and will definitely be appealing to the younger students. The old BPP sign was perhaps better.

When you hear the direction the university wants to go and where its come from words like ‘long heritage’ ‘modern’ ‘heraldic’ ‘professional’ personally this modern interpretation of a lions shield works for me. The old Logo did not really say anything except ‘I’m dated and stuck in the past’.

With regards to the comment below (Student at BPP) from someone who went and did fine art and can properly do something better. Good luck. I’m of to get myself checked for ‘mental health’ or maybe you played the game ‘operation’ when you were younger and could pop by to check me out because I must have issues.

I look forward to seeing how the new branding rolls out.

I do agree with the concept of moving forward; I do agree with the concept of newness; I do agree that things need to be done to keep up with the competition…
However, as someone who adores BPP, I think that the logo could have been more ‘professional’ or simply change the old one’s colour.

Nevertheless, BPP’s reputation will still prevail.

Its the grades that count, not the logo.

But, still, if there is a way to change it- Do so!

I think the new logo is great. Far more modern and distinctive than the old, very dated one. Yes it may look slightly less professional but it has certainly got people talking about it & wasn’t that entirely the point? To get more attention and stand out from all the other providers a bit!

I can see there’s been a lot of criticism about the new site and logo and I just felt compelled to post here and say that I really like the new site. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the colour combination and actually think it goes really well. It’s much easier to use and I can actually find things for a change!

Although I do think it’s a bit confusing that the new logo has been launched but the old logo is still on the materials but I do understand it’s another (probably fairly significant!) cost to have it replace all the existing learning materials.

All in all, I very much like the site and the new logo!
