Section A of the CIMA P1 consisted of mainly straightforward questions and students should score well on this section. In Section B the numerical questions were fair with mix/yield variances, VOPI and sensitivity. With the discursive questions there were some straightforward knowledge requirements on benefits of centralised purchasing, advantages and disadvantages of participatory budgeting and factors to consider when investing short term cash surpluses. more

CIMA F1 – Paper review

Overall, this was a fair paper that focused on the core material in CIMA F1. An excess of definitions rather than calculations in Sections A and B and a heavy focus on provisions across the paper. more

CIMA E2 – Paper review

After such a gentle paper in November, this CIMA E2 exam was a return to more challenging form. Nevertheless, only 23 marks related to Level Four verbs (compared to 25 in E1!). more

Important Changes to the LPC Application

There is a new application process in place for the September 2012 LPC intake. You need to submit a completed application with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) through their online booking system at least 30 days in advance of your LPC start-date. All LPC start-dates fall in early September, so please complete your application to the SRA as soon as possible. more
